WELCOME About Me For those of you who don’t know me, my name is John Franklin Morris. I was born in Maryland on November 26, 1966. The names you see above belong to my eight great-grandparents, and two (Aitcheson and Orrell) of my great-great grandparents. Chances are, if you are visiting this site you have one or more of these names in your past (or present) as well. I have created this website in order to share my family history with all those of you who share it with me. About The
Project I began this project by simply wanting to write down the names of the people in my grandmother’s old photos before they were all forgotten. Then it occurred to me that I could scan the photos and have my own copies on the computer. From there, things just snowballed. Why not copy the photos of all my family members? And not just photos, but their historical documents as well – birth, death and marriage certificates, diplomas, newspaper clippings, etc. Now my goal is to collect as much information as I can, so that it can eventually be passed down to future generations. I have created this website in order to share my progress with all those who may be interested. About this
Website You can click on any of the small photos in this site to see a larger copy. Links in the top left of each page will take you either back here or back to the index page. This site is a work in progress, and often being updated with new photos and new information. Please check back from time to time. Note – July 17, 2008 – Sorry, I guess it would now be more accurate say the site is occasionally being updated, at best. Some of my other hobbies, along with my work schedule, have caused me to have much less available time for genealogy. I am still quite interested in hearing from anyone who wishes to write, and I hope to get back to my research sometime in the next couple of months.
